About the Author

Paul Wagland read architecture at university. He worked for Permaculture Magazine, editing and writing on subjects ranging from green building and technology to social issues. He was editorial assistant on Pond & Gardening magazine and was promoted to deputy editor within three months and editor before the end of the year. He is now freelancing, and currently writes for a number of national gardening and building titles, as well as the local press. He is also an experienced photographer and supplied images for his two published books for GMC books - Paths & Patios and Practical Allotments.
