Meet and Greet with Susan Wardell : My Grandma's Hands

Susan Wardell has written a lovely picture book that will make a special gift this holiday season. Meet Susan at Chapter2books on Sunday 12/16 NOON.

"Take my hand. It is safer when we're together." My Grandma's Hands celebrates the cherished relationship between grandmothers and grandchildren. Hands are the connection that brings the two closer. At birth, Grandma holds the child and welcomes her to the world; as the child grows, the situation reverses and it is the child keeping Grandma safe. At turns funny and sobering, this multicultural book celebrates all that is good about this special relationship.

About Susan:

Susan Wardell is a mother of four children and a grandmother of three. A retired preschool teacher, she has read hundreds of children's books! She also taught special education for several years in St. Paul, Minnesota. She lives in northern Minnesota with her husband, Doug, and their dog, Waylon. She loves to hike, bike, stand-up paddleboard, and craves time with her grandchildren. She's very proud to have her own set of Grandma's Hands!
